Constitutional Fellows

Program offered through the Center for Constitutional Liberty.

The Center's mission is to renew and advance understanding of the founding principles of the United States of America so that our nation’s unique experiment in self-government will inspire, inform and direct new generations of Americans.

Program Highlights

  • 研讨会: Fellows attend two seminars comprised of lecture, discussion and distinguished speakers focused on the founding principles of America, Constitutional liberty, 公民美德, self-government, and free speech.
  • Moot Court/Debate Program: Fellows have the opportunity to participate in moot court competition teams.
  • D.C. 实习: Fellows who complete an independent research project or participate in moot court will be eligible to apply for a financial award for an internship in Washington, D.C., focused on public policy, law, 太阳城官网, or Constitutional liberty. The Center helps prepare and place students in internships in these fields.
  • Distinguished Speaker Series: Several times a year, the Center hosts distinguished scholars, public officials, writers and public intellectuals to speak at the College on issues related t to Constitutional liberty.
  • 奖学金: Fellows attend monthly social gatherings and reading groups
  • Recommended Course Track: Fellows are provided a list of recommended inter-disciplinary courses that supplement the mission of the Center.

  • Fellows will study and engage issues of Constitutional liberty within an interdisciplinary context, including Political Science, 历史, 经济学, 太阳城官网, and Philosophy. The Fellows program provides students interested in careers in law, public policy/government, 太阳城官网, or academia the critical thinking, 说话, and debating skills necessary for success in these fields.
  • Independent Research: Fellows will complete, by their senior year, an independent research project on an issue pertaining to Constitutional liberty, self-government, or public policy.
  • Certificate of Completion: Upon successful completion of the program, Fellows are awarded, upon graduation from the College, a Constitutional Fellow Certificate of Completion.

Eligibility Requirements

The Constitutional Fellows invite the following groups of admitted students to apply:

  1. 标准: 学生s who demonstrate a minimum high school GPA of a 3.5 and minimum 27 ACT, 1260 SAT, or 87 CLT.
  2. TEST-OPTIONAL: Test-optional applicants who submit a high school transcript showing a cumulative GPA of 3.5或以上.
  3. SLIDING SCALE: 学生s whose individual combination of GPA and test score merits eligibility consideration based on a sliding scale.
  4. 学生s who do not meet the academic requirements may be considered for acceptance on the strength of their application essay.
